Kicks Info: This is a pair of signiture shoe manufactured by Nike for Gary Payton. They definitely raised some eyebrows when they were released. It was the first pair of shoe featuring a zipper covering up the whole shoe. And it was exactly like Payton's nickname, The Glove. Just looking at the shoe you might expect the wearer to have their feet suffocated. But actually it wasn't that bad. The big Nike swoosh also looked like the Rodman shoes, Air Shake Ndestrukt. These shoes were produced in only this color scheme and the white overall with black Nike color scheme. When Nike realized the hugh popularity with these shoes, Nike produced the Son of Glove, which looked exactly like this but is a lower, cheaper model, with less technology, i.e. with less ankle protection and no zoom air. The Son of Glove has so many color schemes including red, baby blue and yellow. Also some has the word "Nike" instead of the big Nike swoosh.

My Story: I bought these shoes in HK back in 1999 and I played a lot of outdoor basketball with these. As you can see, the bottom is well worn and the red zoom air is almost popped!
