Kicks Info: The concept of having a removable sox or inner boot inside a shoe was first materialized when Adidas released a series of shoes with this design. From the pictures you can see that the inner socket can be removed from the shoe, thus "adding movement and mobility". You could buy different colors of the inner sox, thereby giving the shoe "more versatility". Other colors available included blue, green and red. This whole concept was taken one step further with the recent Multiple Option Replaceable Footwear (MORF) technology manufactured by Nike. Nike also provides the option of designing your own skin color combination through NikeID on the official Nike website.

My Story: I got the shoes back in 1993 when they were on sale, and I just loved them. They were a bit too heavy, and there was not a lot of breathing and ventilation available. I never bothered to buy other colors because I didn't have much money. These shoes were versatile alright, since I wore the inner sox when I went to sleep when my toes got cold during the winter.
