Air Jordan XI is my most beloved pair of sneakers of all time. MJ wore thesea for the entire 1995-96 regular season games. My favorite aspect is the shiny patent leather and the classy look it brings. Back then when it was first released, I was not too addicted to kicks, and everybody had a pair of these, so I didn't bother buying them. But then the more I looked at them the more I liked them. When I finally decided to buy them, they were all sold out everywhere already. One day in 1997, a magazine reported a second-hand store in Gastown selling second shoes, and I went there. And they got a pair of these babies, my size! Although they were second handed, they were in very nice condition (the pictures below do not do them justice). The soles were in excellent condition (although they are yellow). However, it was expensive...it was $180, more expensive then when they were first released. But I could not resist and bought them.

In 1998, my friend Ivan told me he found a pair of these sweet shoes in Value Village, second hand, but he said the shoes were too small for him, so he sold the shoes to me for $30. Even though the shoes were in such bad condition and very beat-up, I like them no matter what. But I really need to tell you how bad the condition is, so you would know how crazy I am about shoes: patent leather is cracked and is glued together; soles are worn at fronts and backs; the overall color of the shoes is yellow...

In 1999, I decided to check out a Value Village myself...and guess what I found??? These shoes are da best and I got the black/red color. These are the shoes Michael Jordan wore for the 1996 NBA Playoffs. Again, the condition is bad but not nearly as bad as the previous white/black ones. The worse about these shoes: absolutely killer odor.
